The Alacrity Project

Hello friendos!

I am hosting a wonderful event this Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm at Arlene’s Grocery, and I wanted to write a little more information about it!  It is a fundraiser being arranged by the Alacrity Project to raise money for the production “The Dinner Party”, a play written by Georgiana Avram.  The Alacrity Project was created with the mission to provide opportunities for people to create and produce their own work – and “The Dinner Party” is a wonderful example of that.  But the Project is open to any creatives who have plays, or sketches or performances they want to put on – they are always looking to support self-initiated performers!!  COMICS: Got some sketches you want to perform to a larger audience?  LOOK INTO THIS PROGRAM!!!

The show on Sunday is JAM-PACKED: There will be items up for auction, monologues and songs performed, and a performance by a great surf-rock band that was just named to L Magazine’s Top 8 Bands to See in NYC list.

Suggested donations are $15 – but anything you can spare to support this wonderful organization will be greatly appreciated!!  If you want to donate but cannot attend on Sunday, there is also a donation button on the website: http://alacrityproject.com/

Hope to see you Sunday!!
